When I first entered College Academy in my 11th-grade year, I was nervous about what to expect. However, these feelings immediately disappeared. The administration is phenomenal and heavily focuses on preparing you for college from the moment you step in. The guidance counselor is the best you could hope for. She is very thorough and ensures you are always on track. The school culture is about academics and excellence. However, you can still enjoy yourself with Friday Cares and network with the lifelong connections you can make. The curriculum is college-level courses from Broward College that prepare you to write and think like a college student. After having recently graduated and enrolling at a Florida university for my undergrad, I feel so prepared and I am extremely grateful for College Academy. Also, there aren't too many teachers, but the teachers there are great, so the academics are great too! The bad thing is that the food could be better, although I think that's more with the whole system than my school. If I could see one change come into effect, it'd probably be more teachers in order to give the existing teachers a bit less work and also better food in general....
