When Flip from Street Outlaws died, it marked a tragic day in the history of the Discovery Channel reality show. Street Outlaws premiered in June 2013 and lasted for 15 seasons before ending. However, the series also led to several spinoffs, some of which are ongoing. Street Outlaws: Fastest in America, Street Outlaws: Team Attack, Street Outlaws: Endgame, Street Outlaws: New Orleans, and more. The original show follows a group of street racers in Oklahoma who tune up their cars and race each other in illegal street events.

Of course, like many "real" Discovery Channel reality shows, Street Outlaws has its share of fabrications, including the races themselves, which were always sanctioned by police. However, that doesn't mean it wasn't an engaging watch thanks to the fascinating car mods and interesting characters. The cast of Street Outlaws has changed over the years, with newcomers entering every season and the original cast slowly peeling off. Those who have watched the show from the beginning may remember Tyler "Flip" Priddy, who sadly only appeared in one season.

Tragically, Flip passed away on May 28, 2013, at the age of 31, in his home in Yukon, Oklahoma. Flip's loved ones would prefer that others be respectful of their husband, father, and friend, and have not publicly commented on his passing on social media. However, the Street Outlaws Facebook page posted a tribute to Flip.

Street Outlaws also premiered a throwback episode in May 2021 that discussed the origins of the show and also included a small tribute to Tyler "Flip" Priddy, one of the people who made the series a success from the jump.
